Spirit of “North” vol.10 at Rovaniemi Art Museum, Finland
“Do people living in northern regions of the globe share a common spirituality regardless of race and nationality?” I thought it when I visited Lapland (the northern region of Finland) in 2010. Lapland is the very same region where I conceived of the concept of this project.
The discussion started from 2017 to realize this exhibition in Finland. It was the conversation mail with Helena Junttila who was participant of this project in 2015 from Finland. We agreed to hold it in Finland, and immediately started preparing.
I’m looking forward to facing Lapland and Tohoku (the northeastern part of Japan, the base of this project) each other, and I hope to know similarity between both.
