The Castle Bytow takes us through 600 years ago like a time trip by the relic exhibited there. Maruyama creates the tricky situation as if the audience looks at relic of 20th century (her work) in 600 years future using the magical odor that the space raises. She installs DNA spiral of human being as a relic of 20th century. It has many photo images of portraits who involved in various events in the world on the surface of the organic figure. Those images mean genetic code imprinted in the DNA of human being. How they will think to look at this if they will exist in 600 years future? Nobody knows whether the human being have those gene in the distant future.
